Q: What is a clear liquid?
A: A clear liquid is anything you can see through that has no pulp.
Examples: Apple juice, ginger ale, 7up, water, white grape juice, cranberry juice etc.

Q: When do I stop my daily medications prior to a procedure?
A: Blood thinning medications need to be stopped 4 days prior to your scheduled exam. Aspirin (including the 81 mg. baby aspirin) needs to be stopped 7 days prior to your exam. All of your other daily medications can be continued until the day of your examination. Please DO NOT take any medications the day of your procedure until after you're home, unless they are critical heart medications. Please discuss these with the Doctor or a nurse prior to the day of your procedure.

Q: What is the address of the Endoscopy Center?
A: 1200 Sonoma Avenue Suite 2 Santa Rosa, CA 95405-6664

Q: How can I refill my prescription?

A: To refill your prescriptions please contact your pharmacy and have them fax over a request.

Q: Is my procedure going to hurt?
A: Before our doctors start your procedure you will be given "conscious sedation" also known as "twilight anesthesia." The medications we use are Versed and Fentanyl. These medications are administered through an IV. If for some reason during your procedure you show any sign of discomfort, as long as your oxygen level and blood pressure are adequate, your medications will be adjusted so that you are comfortable.

Q: I sent in my paperwork for a direct procedure and forgot an item (Financial policy, HIPPA form, or insurance card). Can I schedule the appointment now and then bring it in when I have my procedure?
A: Unfortunately no. Since your procedure will not be in our office we will not see you the morning of your procedure. So please make sure to fill out the packet entirely and include a copy of your current insurance card! You can find all of the forms to fill out in the PAITENT FORMS section of our website.

Q: Can I drink some wine or any other alcohol the day before my procedure?
A: Yes
